After reading about Jean Anne Stratton’s “wink wink” mistake in attempting to withdraw her name from the ballot for justice of the peace, precinct 4, I felt like I and the rest of Lubbock’s voters got our pockets picked.
Stratton has been a candidate for public office several times. She knows as well as anyone the rules governing the filing for candidacy.
It was reported by at least one local news outlet Stratton described her actions as “just politics ... It is what it is.”
