Leland Bearden remembers during the interview process last year to become the girls basketball coach at Seminole standing on the sidelines watching the girls go through off-season workouts.
“My wife looked over at me and said, ‘they can’t shoot,’” Bearden said.
What a difference a few months make.
Bearden has apparently taken his magic from his time at Smyer and worked wonders with the Maidens, who have gone from winning just two games in District 2-3A last season to five already this season.
