A female Lubbock Independent School District student was arrested Thursday, Feb. 6, after she reportedly struck a teacher in the head using her hands, district officials said.
The incident happened about 2 p.m. at Project Intercept, the district’s alternative education campus for secondary students. The student faces a charge of assault on a public servant.
The teacher was taken to a Lubbock hospital for evaluation and later released, according to LISD.
