South Plains residents could see more snow before week’s end after waking up to a white morning on a Thursday, Feb. 6 that would see a record-low high.
National Weather Service meteorologist Felecia Bowser said snowfall measured 0.4 inches at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. Greater amounts of snow fell to the north, Bowser said. Friona recorded 2.7 inches, followed by 2 inches in Childress.
Meteorologists forecast a 20 percent chance of snow for Feb. 7, but Bowser said it’s likely to just be flurries if anything.
