Texas Tech announced Friday it has renamed its lettermen’s association to the Double T Varsity Club and has named former Tech quarterback Rodney Allison as its director.
Formerly known as the Double T Association, it has been responsible for keeping former Tech athletes connected to the program and the university and helping induct members into the athletics Hall of Honor.
Allison played for the Red Raiders from 1974 to 1977 and was later an assistant football coach. He was the Southwest Conference Most Valuable Player in 1976 and MVP of the Bluebonnet Bowl.
