Shrugging off the slowest U.S. weekly export sales of the marketing year, cotton futures have rallied from a multi-week low to finish slightly higher to a bit lower.
Most-active May eked up 16 points for the week ended Thursday to close at 87.81 cents. It surged to a high of 90.44 cents Monday, plunged Tuesday, hit a low of 86.12 Wednesday night, and then rallied sharply.
Maturing March gained 54 points to settle at 86.91 cents, July dipped 16 points to 86.27 cents and December eased 15 points to 77.84 cents.
