In regard to the no-smoking issue and alcohol problems, I would like for research teams to do a real study for even two weeks, just for the city of Lubbock.
Keep records at hospitals and of police calls that would include wrecks, deaths, injuries, arrests, fights, and so on, and then record how many are due to each of the two issues.
I’m sure they would find 98 percent would be due to drinking of alcohol and not tobacco use. That would have to include the bars, too. Even without including bars, beer would be the highest problem of all.
