The sounds of Lubbock’s very own Coronado High School band will fill the streets of Dublin, Ireland, on St. Patrick’s Day as 94 lucky students march the three-mile parade route.
Coronado’s band will be one of 11 groups performing at the annual event known for street dancing and green-tinted everything.
The principal aim of the St. Patrick’s Festival, since its inauguration, has been to develop a major annual international festival around the national holiday over which the “owners” of the festival, the Irish people, would stand proud, according to the festival’s website.
