District play resumes for most area baseball teams this weekend with some key matchups.
In District 4-4A, Monterey, Lubbock High and Frenship will look to close out opening series victories. Lubbock High hosts Plainview at 7 p.m. today at Westerner Field after crushing the Bulldogs in the opener, 15-2, on Tuesday in Plainview. Likewise, Monterey is on the road to take on Hereford after routing the Whitefaces, 30-4, in the series opener at Moegle Field on Tuesday.
