Hotel clerks testified Wednesday in the Brian Suniga capital murder trial that he and Sesilio Lopez stayed at the Lubbock Regency Country Inn several days leading up to the shooting at The One Guy from Italy restaurant on 50th Street.
Suniga is accused in the fatal shooting of restaurant employee David Rowser Dec. 26, 2011, as Suniga and another man fled with a tip jar they took from the restaurant’s counter.
Witnesses also included a neighbor of Sunga’s relative and the Taylor County Deputy who stopped the men two days after the shooting as they headed eastbound on I-20.
