Dorothy Wakefield Seely, who was born June 12, 1914, to Charles and Ora Wakefield in Ponder, is celebrating her 100th birthday.
Her family includes three children, five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She enjoys reading, and until 20 years ago was known as “the lady who mows lawns in her high heels.”
According to her family, she never smoked or drank alcohol, and attributes her longevity to good genes.
Her family and friends will celebrate her birthday Sunday with a private party.
