John W. Halsey Jr., who was a principal in the widely known Halsey Drug Stores of Lubbock in the 20th century, died June 18 in Lubbock.
He was 86.
Memorial services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Sanders Funeral Home. A reception at Sanders will follow the service, then graveside services with family only in attendance are planned at City of Lubbock Cemetery.
Halsey, a U.S. Navy veteran of the World War II and Korean War era, was the son of John W. Halsey Sr., who began operating a Halsey Drug Store in 1925 in Lubbock.
