Garnett work at Buddy Holly Center
An exhibit titled “Mavericks, Misfits & Musicians: The Art of Joe Garnett” is on display through Aug. 10 in the Fine Arts Gallery at the Budy Holly Center, 1801 Crickets Ave.
Garnett first gained popularity by designing record album covers and movie posters.
He later began painting portraits of such musicians as Buddy Holly, Willie Nelson and Janis Joplin.
