The Salvation Army in Lubbock welcomed its new leaders Thursday.
Captains Robert and Nicole Parker and their family are replacing Majors Tim and Cheryl Grider, who were reassigned to the Salvation Army in San Angelo.
The Parkers will be responsible for programs and social services, including shelters, a transitional housing program, disaster services and the church, according to a news release.
