LUBBOCK (AP) — An official says a former Texas Tech baseball player drowned at a lake over the holiday weekend after suffering head and neck trauma when he dove into shallow water at a lake.
Wayne Mack, a Montgomery County justice of the peace, said Tuesday that the cause of death for 21-year-old Elliot Richoux (ree-SHOO’) was drowning, which was a result of the head and neck injuries suffered in the dive from a dock.
Richoux died Friday at Lake Conroe (KAHN’-roh) in Southeast Texas.
