The Conservative Republicans of Texas PAC is endorsing Rep. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, for the District 28 Senate seat formerly occupied by Texas Tech Chancellor Robert Duncan.
“Charles is a solid conservative,” said Steve Hotze, president of CRT PAC, in a news release. “Charles Perry epitomizes the citizen legislator. The taxpayers of his House district know they have a champion in Austin looking out for their interests, and now they should send him to the Texas Senate.”
A special election for the seat is scheduled for Sept. 9.
