We usually want to see as much of the city of Lubbock’s business as possible conducted in open meetings and in public view. We have been frustrated this year by a lot of discussions made in closed sessions where the public can’t hear.
And then we have Mayor Glen Robertson and City Councilman Victor Hernandez get into a visible spat behind the council dais after a budget work session. One or both of them used a crude two-word term in which the first word was “chicken.”
