Water line break leaves some north Lubbock residents without water through afternoon

A water line break near Itasca Street will leave some Lubbock residents without water until around 4 p.m., though city officials are hopeful the pipe will be repaired before then.

The older water line split on its own, city officials said.

The affected areas include the neighborhoods from North Quaker Avenue to Salem Avenue, as well as Jarvis Street and Itasca Street.
