The city of Lubbock requested a court order requiring the owners of the Omni building to make repairs or allow the city to demolish it. Filing the lawsuit is a good step to conclude a problem with no end in sight. The A-J editorialized on July 19 the building either needed to be removed or made usable. It would be good if a court process to resolve the matter began.
