There were 8,618 students who showed up for the first day of school at Frenship Independent School District, but a school official said that number will continue to grow this year.
“That number will continue to grow over the next few weeks,” Michelle McCord, assistant superintendent of Frenship ISD, said on Tuesday morning.
The enrollment on last year’s first day of school was 8,248, and the district’s highest enrollment date was April 22, she said.
