Looking around outside Jones-AT&T Stadium last Saturday, I saw an awful lot of students who did not get into the football game. Some estimates were as high as a couple of thousand left out. Student attendance was supposedly cut off at a certain point by the fire marshal.
I realize the TTU athletic department needs every cent it can get its hands on to pay for the 17 programs the university sponsors. I also understand the duties of the fire marshal.
