Many times people are like trees. We often look at a majestic, handsome, stoic, giant oak tree in amazement and exclaim, “Wow, what a beautiful tree!” That tree has paid the price by standing strong in the face of drought, windstorms, disease, and insects, but it has adapted.
We, too, must learn to face adversity head on: death, divorce, sickness, tornadoes, etc. We, as humans, are defined by our adaptability. How well we do this is the face others see.
