Today is the final day Texans can register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 4 general election.
Roxine Stinson, chief deputy election administrator in Lubbock County, said about 157,000 people in Lubbock have registered to vote so far, which is roughly the same as most November elections.
The Nov. 4 ballot includes statewide races for positions including Texas governor, lieutenant governor and Unite States Senate as well as local races.
