Kibiwott, Texans win
New Mexico race
HOBBS, N.M. — South Plains College sophomore Antibahs Kibiwott won the individual title and four teammates joined him among the top-10 finishers, leading the Texans to the team championship Saturday at the New Mexico Junior College Open cross-country event.
Kibiwott notched his third top finish of the season, running the 8,000-meter course in a season-best 24 minutes, 8.60 seconds. SPC sophomore Jose Martinez (24:45.85) and freshman Hassan Abdi (24:46.15) placed third and fourth, respectively.
