Sandercox named player of the week
Frenship senior Grant Sandercox, 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, was named one of the A-J Media/Happy State Bank Athletes of the week.
On Oct. 10, his 18th birthday, Sandercox carried 19 times for 264 yards and six touchdowns in a 63-28 rout of Monterey.
Since he projects as a potential defensive player collegiately, Sandercox has spent much of the season focusing on that side of the ball but had a heavier workload against Monterey.
