Fort Worth author Carmen Goldthwaite has a second book of stories about Texas women just published by The History Press — “Texas Ranch Women: Three Centuries of Mettle and Moxie” ($19.99 paperback, 188 pages).
“I’ve written these stories because they need to be told and retold,” Goldthwaite explains. “Limited exposure to the ranch woman’s role on Texas ranches left us ignorant of the strength, integrity, love, humor and courage that powered these women through every adventure often attributed to men.”
She hopes her book helps correct that oversight.
