South Plains set for
NJCAA meet in Hub
The top-ranked South Plains College men will try to win their first national championship since 1997 when the Texans host the NJCAA cross country championships today at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock.
The women’s 5,000-meter race is scheduled for 10 a.m., followed by the men’s 8,000-meter race at 11 a.m.
Defending champion Harry Mulenga from Central Arizona is in the field. South Plains is led by Antibahs Kibiwott, who got sixth in last year’s national meet at Fort Dodge, Iowa.
