AUSTIN — In his new role as a state senator, Lubbock Republican Charles Perry on Monday filed a series of bills and constitutional amendments aimed at reducing taxes and eliminating government waste, something he worked on during his two terms in the Texas House.
For his part, Sen. Kel Seliger, R-Amarillo, filed proposals to fund for 64 construction and renovation projects at Texas public universities, including Texas Tech, and address high-stakes testing at high schools.
