School supply drive a success
Lubbock Independent School District has deemed the recent “Supply Our Students” drive successful.
The drive — which wrapped up Aug. 11 — provided more than 400 bags of school supplies and $7,658.95 in monetary donations to needy students, according to a news release from the district. Customers at United Supermarkets, Market Street and Amigos in Lubbock and Slaton participated in the drive.
