Bad road conditions have prompted school officials for Lubbock ISD and Lubbock Cooper ISD to delay school openings for two hours today, Nov. 25.
“After an early morning road check, Lubbock ISD will continue with the two-hour delay of classes on Monday, Nov. 25,” Sharp said in an email Monday morning. “No further changes will be made to the schedule today.”
Texas Tech University officials have also delayed opening until 10 a.m.
Texas Department of Transportation officials are discouraging travel as freezing precipitation is expected to create hazardous conditions.
