Lubbock Crime Line officials want residents to know that the season of giving could be the season of receiving if they have information on a crime.
Jim Sexton, Lubbock Crime Line chairman, said not enough people have been taking advantage of the rewards since the organization raised amounts paid for successful tips in February. About $10,800 has been awarded to tipsters since the increase, he said. So far about $11,800 has been awarded this year.
And the amount of successful tips has waned in the last couple of months, according to Sexton.
