With this season, Santa Land will have been captivating children and their parents for 57 years in Lubbock.
Its schedule for Mackenzie Park, just off the East Broadway entrance, is 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. each night beginning Tuesday, Dec. 10, and continuing through Monday, Dec. 23.
According to Nancy Neill of Parks and Recreation Indoor Recreation and Marketing, Santa and Mrs. Claus plan a grand sleigh-ride entrance with sirens blaring each evening at 6 p.m., except for occasions when the Lubbock Fire Department is out on an emergency.
