Lubbock Christian University makes its Heartland Conference men’s basketball debut today, taking on Dallas Christian in a 7 p.m. road game.
LCU (4-1) is on a three-game winning streak. Dallas Baptist (3-3) has won two in a row. Though DBU has an all-time series lead of 22-13, it’s the first time the two teams have met since 1990.
Patriots forward Jonathan Perry, a 6-foot-4 sophomore from Kerrville Tivy, leads the Heartland Conference in scoring with an average of 23.7 points per game.
