The combination of generosity of local people and the hard work through the joint effort of the U.S. Marines and the Salvation Army will put a lot of smiles on the faces of children this Christmas.
The two organizations collected more than 25,000 new toys this year in the annual
Toys for Tots drive. About 4,000 families signed up to receive toys for their children.
There were about 100 drop-off locations around the city, and local donors kept them busy with a steady stream of toy donations.
