Rain, lower temps on the way

The South Plains may be swapping hot temps for rainy conditions this week if predictions from the National Weather Service hold true.

The high temperature for Monday, July 15, is predicted to be 74 degrees with a projected low of 61 degrees.

Charles Aldrich, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Lubbock, said early Sunday evening, July 14, a line of showers in the Panhandle was inching westward. The bulk of the showers was predicted to arrive in Lubbock in the early morning hours.
