5:54 a.m. — A Texas Tech officer investigated a case of evading an arrest in a vehicle and duty on striking a highway fixture following an observed traffic violation at 19th Street and Texas Tech Parkway. The suspect fled the area on foot after striking a light pole with the vehicle at the intersection of 28th Street and Canton Avenue. The vehicle was impounded by Lubbock Wrecker Service.
