teams tops Coronado
Davis Williamson had two goals and an assist, leading Monterey past Coronado 3-1 Monday in a non-district soccer match.
Alex Gonzalez also scored for the Plainsmen, who improved to 2-1-1. Jacob Sanchez and Mathew Casares each had an assist.
Next up for the Plainsmen are United Kickoff Classic matches on Thursday against Tascosa and Palo Duro. The tournament, hosted by the Lubbock ISD, will have matches at Monterey, Coronado, Lubbock High and on Saturday at Texas Tech’s John Walker Complex.
