Not this past summer, but the summer before, several Lubbock campuses spent quite a bit of money to have wells dug, then they built pump houses and then they had piping put underground so they could keep their grass green.
I am quite annoyed about this situtation. We can only water on certain days, but they are out there watering. If that is not enough, the water sprays on the cars passing, and the water runs down the street.
We have to abide by the drought situation, but schools don’t. They say they are only using groundwater, but what happens when the groundwater runs out?
