MIDLAND — Lubbock High and Frenship won two games apiece Friday at the Tournament of Champions, making the Tigers 3-0 and the Westerners 3-1 after the first two days of the three-day event.
Lubbock High edged El Paso Montwood 4-3 and bashed Estacado 13-2 on Friday. Frenship beat El Paso El Dorado 5-4 and slipped by Midland 2-0 in eight innings.
On Thursday, Michael Davis threw a complete game, leaving the bases loaded in the seventh inning, as Lubbock High beat Midland 3-2, earning a two-game split on the first day of the Tournament of Champions.
