A Lubbock man faces a felony drug charge following a Monday traffic stop about 1,000 feet from an elementary school.
Emerson Earl Johnson, 40, Johnson is being held at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a charge of possession of marijuana between 50 and 2,000 pounds, and charges of driving with a suspended and invalid license.
Johnson was driving westbound around 7:20 p.m. Monday, July 29 in the 1100 block of 82nd Street when Lubbock police stopped him for a traffic violation, said Lubbock Police Department Sgt. Jason Lewis.
