Sundlie named LCU pitching coach
Former Lubbock Christian catcher and graduate assistant coach Justin Sundlie was named Monday as the new pitching coach for the Chaparrals.
Sundlie, who spent last year as the head coach at Abernathy, replaces Matt Gardner, who left the program following the 2013 season.
Sundlie played for the Chaps from 2005 to 2006 and helped lead LCU to the NAIA World Series his senior season.
He has also spent time as the head coach at Valley Mills High School and as a graduate assistant coach in 2012.
