The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office is awaiting a medical examiner’s report to determine how a 73-year-old man died in the bottom of a man-made pond Monday on his property in Northwest Lubbock.
However, Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Bryan Taylor said there is no indication of foul play presently.
The sheriff’s office dive team recovered the body of Curtis Wayne Teal in the center of his catfish pond around 5:45 p.m. about three hours after deputies responded to a check welfare call, according to Taylor.
