A Lubbock grand jury indicted a 26-year-old man for the Memorial Day slaying of his 32-year-old cousin, whose body he reportedly drove to a mobile home park in northwest Lubbock.
Matthew Torrez is being held at the Lubbock County Detention Center on a first-degree felony charge of murder and a third-degree felony charge of failing to stop and render aid.
His bond is set at $500,000 for murder and $20,000 for failing to render aid, according to jail records.
