AUSTIN — The campaign to succeed state Sen. Robert Duncan when he becomes the next chancellor of the Texas Tech System is taking shape.
Though the Lubbock Republican has not announced when he will give up his Senate District 28 seat — he has until July 6 because his first day as chancellor is July 7 — as of Friday only Rep. Charles Perry and Eppie Garza of Wolfforth had publicly announced their intention to run.
