Lubbock police arrested a man after a vehicle- and foot-chase that ended late Friday, Sept. 20, in downtown Lubbock.
The incident started when officers tried to stop a Chevrolet Blazer for a traffic violation downtown, prompting a chase that went several miles that turned into a brief foot chase when police slashed the vehicles’ tires on Avenue Q, said Lubbock police Capt. Greg Stevens.
An unidentified man wearing a white T-shirt fled the vehicle on foot.
“We tried to stop him for a traffic violation and he took off running, and then we captured him,” Stevens said.
